The Resident Training Program in the Management of Spasticity is a national educational initiative designed to enhance senior residents’ experience with the management of spasticity and dystonia. The program is delivered by a variety of content experts from across Canada and spans the pathophysiology of spasticity and dystonia and strategies to manage these challenging conditions in a variety of different diagnoses.

- Pathophysiology of spasticity and dystonia
- Management of spasticity and dystonia
- Non-pharmacological strategies (physiotherapy, bracing, electrical stimulation and others)
- Oral medications
- Injectable medications
- Orthopedic and neurosurgical interventions
- Peripheral neuromuscular anatomy review in the anatomy lab
- Use of US in spasticity/dystonia management
- Case discussions
