Type 2 Diabetes: Travel
Plan ahead
It is very important to be prepared for traveling since planning ahead can help prevent or reduce emergencies that may occur.
It's a good idea to visit your doctor and our Diabetes Education Centre a few weeks before you leave.
This will give your health care providers the opportunity to review your travel schedule and work out plans for your medications and meals. This is especially important when crossing different time zones.
