General Internal Medicine - Before You Arrive

Patients referred for medical appointments will be provided with a date and time for their consultation or follow-up visit either by telephone or letter. You should then be contacted by a nurse on the business day prior to your visit so that your medications (if any) can be reviewed and documented. 

On the day of your appointment, we recommend you arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time to check in for your visit. After going through COVID-19 screening at Grosvenor Entrance  1, please proceed to Zone B, Level 3 and check in at the Outpatient Registration desk (Room B3-030). If you are coming to St.  Joseph’s for a pre-operative consultation only, you will be directed to the Pre-Surgical Screening Unit located within in our Surgical Centre,  Zone C, Level 1 (C1-300). View directions to the Surgical Centre. The closest entrance is off Cheapside Street (Cheapside Entrance 4), where COVID-19 screening is also located.
