Launched well-being initiatives for our staff and physicians

From pet visitation to on-site massages and healthy living education sessions, staff and physicians across St. Joseph’s participated in offerings to improve their personal well-being.

In the fall of 2023, St. Joseph’s launched the Healthy Living Series to provide staff, physicians, learners and volunteers with 30-minute interactive sessions covering various well-being topics such as nutrition basics, ergonomics and exercise. As well, in partnership with St. Joseph’s Volunteer Services, pet visitation was introduced giving staff, physicians, learners and volunteers the opportunity to experience the joy of spending time with a furry friend, accompanied by their dog handler. One session at St. Joseph’s Hospital garnered much interest with more than 200 people attending to visit with two canine friends. In partnership with Fanshawe College, St. Joseph’s also offered drop-in on-site massage sessions where staff and physicians could get short 10-minute massages free of charge.
