How to Become a Volunteer
Please note that due to a recent influx of submissions, we have temporarily paused new volunteer applications. We will provide more information here when we are able to resume.
Volunteers are required to make a minimum commitment of 6 months of volunteering.
How to Apply
1) Complete and submit an application and include your resume (optional).
Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered.
2) If you are selected for an interview and offered a placement in our program, you must:
- Complete a mandatory immunization protocol (including a two-step TB test)
- Attend a volunteer orientation session
- Sign hospital privacy and code of conduct documents
- Attend additional unit/area training and orientation
Please mail, or drop off your completed package to one of the addresses noted on the application form.
Sample placements
If you are selected for a volunteer position, you will receive a description outlining the duties and responsibilities of the service where you will be volunteering.
Listed below are some of the sample placements we offer at our five locations. You are required to make a weekly commitment of one day per week, three to four hours per shift.
Please note placements are offered based on suitability and availability.
