Valerie Zouzal
Valerie Zouzal graduated from Elborn College at The University of Western Ontario in 2003 and began her career working with adults at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Here she cared for patients across all areas of the hospital including: inpatient acute, mental health and rehabilitation, acute and rehabilitation stroke, continuing/complex care, surgery, and outpatient rehabilitation.
In 2009, Valerie initiated the Speech and Language Program within Halton Hills Family Health Team in consultation with staff pediatrician, Dr. Zeni.
When Valerie returned to London she began her career with St. Joseph’s in the Veterans Care Program.
She is continuing in her passion of patient- centered rehabilitation in the Outpatient Acquired Brain Injury program, the Transitional and Lifelong Care Program and Stroke Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation at Parkwood Institute. With her colleagues, Valerie is attempting to address wait times and best practice guidelines, by initiating new therapy groups that will allow timely and meaningful assessment and treatment.
