Lawson Imaging is a recognized leader in non-invasive biomedical imaging with new developments in hybrid imaging platforms such as MR/PET, PET/CT and SPECT/CT currently being applied to the areas of cardiology, neurology (including mental health), metabolic disease and cancer. Cyclotron and radiochemistry facilities provide key resources for this research. Also at the forefront of biomedical imaging are the emerging technologies of photoacoustic and optical imaging and optical spectroscopy as well as the investigation and therapeutic application of bioelectromagnetics.

Our goal

Our team
The Lawson Imaging Research Program team of 30 researchers, led by Dr. Frank Prato, is a recognized world leader in non-invasive biomedical imaging. Hybrid imaging (which combines two or more imaging methods to provide superior images and diagnostic information) is currently being applied to the areas of cardiology, neurology (including mental health), metabolic disease and cancer.
