As long-time supporters of St. Joseph’s Health Care London, Clintar embodies respect, excellence and compassion in all the ways it works to serve others. It is these shared values that have formed the foundation of a proud 20-year partnership between Clintar and St. Joseph’s.

Members of the London community will often say they see the bright green Clintar-branded trucks wherever they go. “We didn't start out that way,” says Adam Tyman, president of Clintar London, a commercial outdoor services company. “But like with any successful business, you need a vision of excellence. I think our success has come from the standards we hold ourselves to and from ensuring we're the best service provider we can be for our customers.”

Michelle Stratton, controller at Clintar London, takes pride in the company's people-first culture. “Our business wouldn't be what it is without our people. We're very supportive of our staff, and it’s important to us that we encourage them as much as possible and let them know this is a safe place.”

Clintar has been St. Joseph’s contractor for many years, which has fostered the development of a natural partnership, says Chris Pellizzari, head of sales and customer service at Clintar London. “We've become like part of the family, so giving back is our way of contributing to and supporting our family.”

Clintar’s philanthropic efforts extends to supporting many health-based organizations in the community – in addition to St. Joseph’s. “We continue to invest in local organizations because we believe so strongly in the causes they're supporting and the initiatives they're undertaking,” says Adam.

The team members at Clintar also shared how their personal connections to St. Joseph’s inspire their commitment to give back. “At a recent Tribute Dinner, the Ivey Eye Institute was celebrated,” Adam recalls. “That event really struck home for me because my son was born with some vision problems and was a regular at the Institute from the age of two until he was five."

For Michelle, attending the donor recognition events allows her to see first-hand the impact of their contributions. “Each of us has gradually developed our own relationships with the people at the Foundation and those personal experiences make us want to keep doing what we're doing.”

The majority of Clintar's giving stems from its sponsorship of St. Joseph’s annual Tribute Dinner and Breakfast of Champions events. Clintar’s long-term support has also earned recognition for the company in the Hall of Heroes, which recognizes donors to Veterans Care, and the Cornerstone Society, which recognizes organizational donors who have cumulative giving of $25,000 and more.

As Clintar prepares to serve as the title sponsor for St. Joseph’s Tribute Dinner on October 9, 2024, Adam expressed his admiration for the individuals, families, and organizations throughout London who give so generously.

“You get the feeling that you're a part of something bigger,” he says. “These are the people who set the bar for how a community should work. We’re all in this together.”
